FSB AGL®
Precision Compensating Bearing

The FSB AGL® compensating bearing embodies more than three decades of expertise in crafting high-performance commercial hardware.

What began as a technical innovation has become an industry benchmark—its long-term durability proven millions of times, even under extreme conditions. Over the years, we’ve refined this classic and revolutionized its installation process—without altering the core technology.

Technical Refinement in Detail

The twist-fixed compensating bearing with Teflon-coated plain bearings reliably compensates for installation and manufacturing tolerances. The interlocking connection between spindle and female handle ensures optimal force transfer into the door leaf—technology that remains superior even after one million cycles, as certified in user class 4 as per DIN EN 1906.

Innovative Installation Logic

The key innovation: as a preassembled adapter set (spindle + female handle), FSB AGL® introduces a new approach to installation. The handle is only affixed to the adapter after both hardware halves are screwed into place. This decoupling offers:

  • Easy mounting of half sets

  • No awkward maneuvering around the handle neck

  • Precise, axial screwdriving with power tools

  • Significantly reduced installation time

Consistently Precise Operation

An integrated Type B positive mechanism with spring preload prevents sagging. The precise 0° stop offsets the latch spring and ensures perfectly horizontal handle alignment—a detail that enhances the appearance of any door.

Versatile Applications

FSB AGL® is designed as a comprehensive system:

  • Rose sets (round and square) with PZ, BB, CH-RZ, and privacy keyways

  • Short-plate and long-plate sets in various configurations

  • Available as lever/knob handle sets

  • Standard for door thicknesses 39–48 mm (29–98 mm on request)

  • Available in aluminum, stainless steel, and bronze

FSB AGL® unites precise engineering with installation-friendly construction—a system valued by architects and fabricators alike.
