We make our products from metal on principle, although some interesting alternative materials are also on the market.

The reason: There are simply no better materials from which to make handles for doors and windows. Even the best plastic models would hardly stand up to the heavy-duty daily use of door handles without a solid metal core.

Our favourites are stainless steel and aluminium. Both are ideal materials to make handles for doors and windows, since they meet highest standards of functionality, cost-efficiency, serviceability and environmental compatibility.

Stainless steel is virtually indestructible and is therefore particularly suitable for door and window handles that are frequently used. The main advantages of aluminium are its sturdiness, its anodising properties and its light weight.

Concerning environmental compatibility, the current recycling rate of stainless steel is already close to 50%, while the reclaim rate of aluminium in building construction even reaches 85%. The high energy consumption for aluminium extraction, which is frequently criticized, is more than offset by the positive properties of this material in processing, use and recycling.

As one of the first German enterprises to have earned a certificate under the EU Eco Audit regulations, we are also particularly attentive to the ecological aspects of our work.
