Philippe Starck

FSB 1191

Philippe Starck, the mega-star designer of the 1990s, was never content with just submitting plans for interior designs.

From the outset, he also designed furniture to match them. A typical example is the famous chair for the Café Costes, which has outlived the place it was made for. Fascinating industrial products followed: office articles, bottles, cutlery, items of luggage, knives, household gadgets, vases, carpets, and toothbrushes.

FSB was very keen to encourage this uncommonly productive and extraordinarily versatile designer to try his hand at the most commonplace of all products as well: the door handle. Philippe Starck took up the challenge and created handles and accessories with French charm.
