Professor Gunter Rambow and his students of graphic design at the Design Academy in Karlsruhe worked for a whole year on a new type of catalogue commissioned by FSB, through the summer of 1992 and the winter of 1992/1993. Their task was to interpret the range of handle designs by photography, text, drawings and graphic design. The philosopher Peter Sloterdijk commented this work with just one sentence, which has become a dictum in the meantime:

"Man is an animal that can marvel with its hands“.

German Communication Design Award 1993 (granted by the Alliance of German Designers, the Design Centre North Rhine-Westphalia and Messe Frankfurt). The series of placards designed by Julia Hasting, Holger Jost, Petra Leimkühler, Hans von Sichart under the direction of Prof. Gunter Rambow to accompany the book "Crossover" and released under the same heading, wins a prize for "high-quality design".

The book "Crossover" is chosen as one of the most beautiful books published in 1993 in the category of non-fiction books.

Book Fair Leipzig 1993, Most Beautiful Books of the World Contest:
in this international contest, organized as a special event, the book “Crossover” wins the bronze medal.
